Event Details

“Hosted by KAM Isaiah Israel’s nationally-recognized Food Justice and Sustainability program, the Farm & Food Forest School is an intergenerational learning experience open to teens and adults. Hands-on learning takes place over eight Sundays in July and August at KAM Isaiah Israel’s award-winning urban micro-farm and food forest, at 1100 East Hyde Park Boulevard and at nearby growing sites.

“We will focus on outdoor, project based and classroom learning from those with experience in areas from food justice, to plant breeding, to water conservation. Participants come away with powerful tools for change and a heightened motivation to work toward a more just, equitable, and sustainable world. We also cultivate a connection with each other through our weekly communal farmers’ lunch (please bring a bag lunch).

This program is free and open to all! However, enrollment is limited. Certificates will be awarded. Beginning and experienced growers are welcome! To sign up and secure a space at the link below or at https://www.kamii.org/farmschool. Please email FarmSchoolDirector@kamii.org with questions about the program.”
