Sat, July 20th, 9am-12pm, at St. Sabina's Stein Learning Gardens, 7821 S. Racine Ave: AUA organizes group volunteering action days at community gardens and urban farms across the city to strengthen our urban agriculture community. This initiative seeks to: support grassroots projects with needed people power; forge new relationships between sites, practitioners and supporters; and provide practical knowledge on topics like successful urban composting and heavy metal soil testing. All skill and experience levels are welcome – join us! Click here for more details and to RSVP!
In addition to the AUA organized events above, there’s always something happening in Chicago’s diverse urban agriculture landscape.
