Sat, April 27, 9am-12pm, at Windsor Park Community Garden, 7557 S. Saginaw Ave: AUA organizes group volunteering action days at community gardens and urban farms across the city to strengthen our urban agriculture community. This initiative seeks to: support grassroots projects with needed people power; forge new relationships between sites, practitioners and supporters; and provide practical knowledge on topics like successful urban composting and heavy metal soil testing. All skill and experience levels are welcome – join us! Click here for more details and to RSVP!
Tues, May 14th, 6pm-8pm: Interested in becoming more involved in our local food system? AUA's Associate Board wants you! This diverse group of professionals is passionate about expanding sustainable urban agriculture in Chicago and reflects AUA’s membership itself – gardeners, farmers, teachers, students, parents, neighbors, artists and activists. Sound intriguing or sound like you? Get involved or just learn more by joining our next meeting at AUA's West Loop office. Reach out to us with questions and RSVP to email@example.com.
In addition to the AUA organized events above, there’s always something happening in Chicago’s diverse urban agriculture landscape.
