Harvest: Karla Morales, Chicago Chef & owner of Amor Y Sofrito, teaches us how to cook Vegan Sancocho, a Chicago garden root veggie stew inspired by a traditional Puerto Rican style stew, with produce from local farms.
Celebrate: Dia De Los Muertos Style Pumpkin Painting by Pilsen Arts & Community House. Learn how old practices of different cultures have evolved into what we celebrate today.
Connect : A round-table discussion featuring members of the Chicago urban agriculture community, including Selma Sims of Gardeneers, Imron Bhatti of the U.S Department of Housing & Development, Dr. Saria Lofton of University of Illinois Chicago, and Johari Cole of Iyabo Farms
