Building on the success of last year’s spring cross-cultural exchange, this year’s Spring Gathering reflects the same theme, this time held at the Global Garden Refugee Training Farm in the Albany Park neighborhood (located at Lawrence Ave & Sacramento Ave).

The event will include:

  • Potluck & Seed Swap (please bring a dish and/or seeds to share if you are able!)
  • Tours & Presentation from spotlight project and hosts, Global Garden (farm manager Linda Seyler will share history of the farm itself, and we’ll also hear from trainees whose transition to life in Chicago has been aided by their role in urban agriculture)
  • Community Photo Share (please send your photos to in**@au********.org!) — everyone who submits a photo will be able to share a few words about what or where theyre growing! Plus, additional garden groups and projects who have a focus on cultural and heritage connections will be highlighted.

Go to the Facebook Event Page to RSVP and invite your friends! The more the merrier.

If you have any questions, please reach out to in**@au********.org!
