Urban Agriculture Zoning Code for Chicago – Interested in starting a commercial urban farm or community garden? The City of Chicago recently passed amendments to Chicago’s Zoning Ordinance that specifically address urban agriculture. Click here for the City’s FAQ sheet about the changes. AUA plan updated 3.4.10 — download the AUA Plan. The AUA Plan for Sustainable Urban Agriculture in Chicago is a policy paper prepared between 2003 -2006. It includes policy recommendations for promoting urban agriculture in Chicago. The Chicago City Plan, “Chicago: Eat Local, Live Health,” focuses on six categories for study based on the AUA policy recommendations.
