Advocates for Urban Agriculture’s Connections Working Group has been busy reaching out to Chicago’s diverse communities throughout the summer and fall. It’s been a great success so far, with our network and membership growing by leaps and bounds, but there is much more to come! While during the warmer months we focused on tabling at farmers markets, farm stands and other events across the city, we are now primarily reaching out to community groups by giving presentations about AUA and the benefits of joining and growing our network. The more people that combine their voices, knowledge and resources, the more diverse and empowered Chicago’s urban agriculture movement will become!
